Not only are injectable fillers simpler and more cost effective than a face lift, often if the structures beneath our skin do not have the volume to support our skin tissue, then a face lift will not be effective. If your skin is in good condition, but you look gaunt, injectable fillers will be much more beneficial than a face lift. Risks and complications always exist, but they are a very rare occurrence with injectable fillers. While some people will experience redness and tenderness in the treatment area, this can be treated with Tylenol or aspirin and a cold compress. Bruising can occur, but this can be easily camouflaged with make up. Other risks include prolonged swelling or skin discoloration.
