What Is VascuLight Treatment Like?

Treatments typically happen right at New Image Cosmetic Surgery in our convenient San Diego location. Most treatments take 30 minutes or less using VascuLight technology. Flashes of light will feel like a rubber band snap on your skin, but discomfort is minimized by a pre-application of a cooling gel.

The number of treatments that are needed depend on the individual, as well as the size, type and location of the veins. Most veins can be treated in one to two treatments, but larger or more prolific veins may require an additional treatment or two. If new veins appear at a later date, you can have more treatments.

There is no downtime for normal activities, but we recommend refraining from hot baths and vigorous activities such as working out or long walks, for the first 24 hours. You may be given a compression garment to wear to minimize swelling, as well as to support the treatment area.
