The concept of Phaser MicroLipo® is a combination of a few simple principals: minimal incisions, reduced pain, trauma, and bruising, and faster healing. Additionally, Erchonia and Polaris lasers are used for optimal smoothing and tightening of the skin and underlying tissues. Phaser MicroLipo® Liposuction allows Dr. Schafer to undertake procedures using minimal incisions. Smaller incisions mean faster healing time, less patient discomfort and invisible scars. Regular liposuction uses larger diameter cannulas that are more painful and traumatic. They also contribute to widespread bruising that is commonly associated with liposuction. Phaser MicroLipo® patients also benefit from the use of safer anesthesia, compared to general anesthesia, which is still widely used in liposuction.

Available only in Dr. Schafer's San Diego office, the RAPID RECOVERY METHOD® combined with Phaser MicroLipo® uses traditional medical techniques with holistic approaches. The protocol includes vitamins, prescription medicines, external ultrasound vibration (to break up fat into sawdust size particles) and the tumescent Liposculpture technique. The RAPID RECOVERY METHOD® inhibits bleeding and significantly decreases the chances of bruising.
